What We Do

We hear appeals against land acquisition compensation awards made by the Collector of Land Revenue.

We provide fair, swift hearings and just decisions for all land acquisition appeals.

Our History

Established in 1967 under the Land Acquisition Act to provide specialist, expeditious appeals outside the court system.

Organisation Structure

The Appeals Board is led by a Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner appointed by the President. The Registrar and other officers are appointed by the Minister for Law.
